KORALM TUNNEL KAT3 - THE THIRD SECTION
The journey from Klagenfurt to Graz has been shortened by two thirds by the construction of the Koralm railway in Austria - from three hours to just one. With a length of 130 kilometres, it also forms a crucial section of the trans-European rail link (Baltic-Adriatic axis) from Gdańsk in Poland to Venice on the Mediterranean. At the heart of the Koralm railway is the 32.9-kilometre-long Koralm Tunnel, which is divided into the KAT1, KAT2 and KAT3 sections.
